We are using C++ to program the mbed to be able to interface with the keypad so that we can determine if the user enters the correct key code.
This is the circuit as a whole The red is the keypad, the board on the left is the mbed and the two chips above are the the CAN bus chips

In addition to the Security System that was built, in a different team, we designed and implemented an auto-tune system that worked based off of the readings of two photodiodes. One of the diodes controlled the volume while the other controlled the frequency. We had the ability to define the LabVIEW code so that we could choose which musical key we wanted to auto-tune to.
